‘Harrowed World: What’s Past Is Portents’ enters version 2.0 with the Narrator Update.

Additions and improvements:

🩸 New voice acting.

🩸 All new epilogue.

🩸 New internal achievements system.

🩸 New lexicon system.

🩸 New game over screens.

🩸 Higher quality icon.

🩸 New and improved story selection screen.

🩸 Revamped main menu.

🩸 New pause menu and revamped submenus.

🩸 Added story name to save files (will be useful once future stories are added).

🩸 Revamped credits.

🩸 Added scene transitions.

🩸 Various other fixes and additions.

Notes:

💀 You may need to uninstall and reinstall to see the new icon.

💀 Internal achievements for Isaac's Story syncs with Steam at the start of a new playthrough.

💀 Lexicon system will require new playthrough(s) to unlock terminology.

💀 Story name will only appear on new saves.

💀 Lexicon was originally referred to as glossary during it's development.

💀 Options is now called Settings.

💀 History is now called Chronicle.

💀 Controls are now under Settings.

On Epic Games Store:

The original plan was to launch the game on the Epic Games Store at the same as this update.

Unfortunately, the Epic Games Store is a lot more complicated than Steam or itch.io and while it does allow indie developers, it basically it does not have any innate support for them unless it considers them worthy of special attention.

Epic Games Store has rejected our attempts to release the game today over an achievements issue.

At this point the set up of Epic Games Store seems more obstructive rather than helpful with confusing documentation and esoteric systems.

This has put the future of Harrowed World games on Epic Games Store in doubt.

Updates will be made on the situation when possible.
